Pastor Matt's availability is incredibly limited, and he is only able to accept a few couples at any given time for premarital counseling. While submitting this application does not guarantee that Pastor Matt will be available for premarital counseling and/or officiating your wedding, you can expect a response within 72 hours of your submission of this form. Marriage is incredibly difficult, which is why over half of all marriages fail. Pastor Matt is willing to invest in your relationship and share how to shift the statistics in your favor of staying together "until death do you part," but building a successful marriage requires submission to God's plan for your relationship.

Successful marriages require hard work. Pastor Matt has discovered that couples who are willing to do the hard work before they get married by trusting in God's plan are those who are also willing to invest the hard work necessary when marriage gets tough. Pastor Matt has also discovered that couples who are unwilling to comply with God's Word before they get married are usually those who wind up in a failed marriage. 

If you are unwilling to submit to God's best before you are married, that is 100% your call. However, if you are unwilling to trust God's best before you are married, it is highly unlikely you will be willing to submit to God's best after you are married. If you are willing to explore God's best for your marriage, hit the "Back" button and consider changing your answer(s). If you are unwilling to at least explore God's plan for how you can best set yourself up for a successful marriage, Pastor Matt suggests that you find another option for both officiating your wedding and for your premarital counseling.

 If you are not a Christian and/or are unwilling to submit to God's plan for marriage, it will be very difficult to build a successful marriage without having God as the foundation of your marriage. 

While Pastor Matt is willing to invest in those who do not yet follow Jesus Christ, premarital counseling is not the best avenue to share the hope of Jesus with non-believers. Therefore, Pastor Matt only accepts premarital counseling and/or officiating requests from those who consider themselves Christian. 

If you are not a Christian and/or are unwilling to submit to biblical principles to build your marriage, Pastor Matt is not the best option for your wedding and/or premarital counseling, and it is suggested that you pursue another option.

Pastor Matt only agrees to officiate wedding ceremonies for couples who are willing to invest in their marriage by going through premarital counseling. While Pastor Matt does not require couples to complete premarital counseling through him, he does require all couples to complete premarital counseling from someone.

If only one of you is willing to invest in your marriage, but the other person is not, premarital counseling will not be a good investment for you nor Pastor Matt.
