All campus housing closes for Christmas Break. However, we do offer limited campus housing for a select group of students who are unable to travel home for break. Students approved to stay over break will remain in their fall housing location.
All students (except athletes required by their coach to be on campus) MUST submit a request to remain on campus for any part of break between Friday, December 19 and 3pm Saturday, January 10, 2026.
There is no housing charge for students who qualify for one of the following reasons:
· Athletes required by their coaches to be on campus
· Students with an institutional need to be on campus (student teachers, nursing and engineering students with end/start dates that differ from Wheaton's)
· Married students with spring 2026 on-campus housing confirmed
· Students who live internationally
· Grad students whose lease extends through the spring 2026 semester
Students may request housing for reasons other than those listed above, and if approved should expect to pay the nightly rate of $50.
Students living in campus housing without approval from the Residence Life Office are subject to a fine of $100 a day and may be asked to move off campus.
Students who are found in violation of a College policy that would place them on probation, will be asked to leave campus immediately and will not be allowed to return until 3pm, Saturday, January 10.
The deadline to request break housing is Sunday, December 7. If we are able to approve requests received after December 7, an administrative fee of $50 will charged, in addition to the applicable nightly fee.
