I wish to give you as much information as possible during our consultation. Be prepared to take notes as the topics we cover will be very specific to you and your dog. I have yet to make a dog training template that works for all the diverse personalities out there.
Because we will likely use food for your dog's training/behavior rehabilitation, it is optimal for you to get your dog comfortable eating food from your hand in various locations and around various distractions. This way, we can start some rehab/training protocols the very day of our consultation. If you are unable to do this for a week prior to our appointment, I may ask you to skip your dog's morning meal on the day of our consultation.
I will not work with a dog who has hair obstructing its vision. This is a preventable handicap. Please be prepared to clip or band hair hanging over your dog's eyes and to smooth down or trim hair that is sticking up from his muzzle.
