TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FOR ALL TRAVEL BOOKED THROUGH JO-ANN MOSS / CRUISE PLANNERS
•••••
GENERAL LIABILITY STATEMENT:
Your Cruise Planners travel advisor, Jo-Ann Moss, is acting as an agent for cruise lines and tour operators when booking reservations for travel-related services such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, cruises, and excursions. Travel services are not directly supplied by Jo-Ann Moss / Cruise Planners. Therefore, Jo-Ann Moss / Cruise Planners shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of the suppliers of travel services that result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers’ companions or group members.
TRAVEL ID REQUIRED FOR CRUISES THAT BEGIN AND END AT THE SAME AMERICAN PORT (CALLED A CLOSED-LOOP CRUISE):
*A regular passport (called a passport book) valid for a minimum of six months post-cruise, or a passport card, or TWO forms of matching ID: an original, certified, state-issued birth certificate (NOT hospital-issued), AND a matching government ID with photo, such as a driver's license. If the two forms of ID don't match, a bridge document will be necessary, such as a marriage certificate.
Children 15 and younger: A passport valid for a minimum of six months post-cruise, or an original, certified, state-issued birth certificate (not hospital-issued) is acceptable on most closed-loop cruises from the U.S.
Exceptions: Virgin Voyages requires a passport on all sailings. Princess and Holland America require passports if one minor is traveling with only one parent or other adult. Some Caribbean countries require a passport, even on closed-loop cruises. Information will be sent at the time of booking.
TRAVEL ID REQUIRED FOR ONE-WAY CRUISES:
A regular passport (passport book) valid for at least six months post cruise.
Important: If you must cut your cruise short for any reason, such as an emergency back home, an illness during your trip, or a missed port -- requiring you to fly home -- you will always be required to have a passport to re-enter the United States by air from any foreign country, regardless of age.
LAND VACATIONS AND CRUISES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
A passport valid for a minimum of six months post-trip is required. A visa may also be necessary; this information will be shared at the time of your booking.

ENTRY INTO CANADA WITH A CRIMINAL RECORD (INCLUDES ALASKA CRUISE ITINERARIES):
Anyone with a criminal record (including U.S. misdemeanors or alcohol-related driving offenses) could be denied entry into Canada without first obtaining an approval for rehabilitation well in advance of any planned travel. This includes cruises stopping in Canada for just one day, even if you do not plan to get off the ship. To determine whether you may be inadmissible and how to overcome this finding, please refer to the CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/inadmissibility/index.asp.
For a rehabilitation application, go here:

CHILDREN TRAVELING WITHOUT BOTH BIRTH PARENTS:
Due to increasing incidents of child abductions in disputed custody cases, Customs and Border Protection and many international countries often ask to see the following when traveling with children under the age of 18: a notarized permission slip from the parent not traveling with the child, when parents have joint custody; or original divorce papers showing sole custody; or a death certificate. Relatives traveling with children without their parents must also present paperwork that shows permission. Even if this paperwork has not been requested in the past, and even if the cruise lines indicate that it is not required, passengers ARE being stopped randomly by government officials and denied travel. Customs and Border Protection overrides cruise line rules. Permission forms are available from Jo-Ann Moss.
PREGNANCY:
Those entering their 24th week of pregnancy are not allowed on most cruise lines, and a doctor's note indicating week of pregnancy is usually requested by cruise line officials at check-in. Rules differ slightly depending on cruise line; please contact Jo-Ann Moss for more information.
COVID protocols might be in place during your vacation. Information will be sent under separate cover, and prior to final payment.
