• Hopkins Distinguished Service Award

  • The annual Hopkins Distinguished Service Award was established to recognize extraordinary contributions to enhance the quality of life and general reputation of the community of Parkville.  Its purpose is to encourage excellence in community stewardship and to inspire others.

    Eligibility, Selection and Guidelines for Making Nominations

    The primary criteria to be considered include:

    • Involved in business, community or public service in the Parkville area over an extended period of time.
    • A proven commitment to doing business in the Parkville area.
    • Dedication to business and the broader community.
    • Demonstration of business leadership and sound business practices
    • Has shown a clear commitment to the Parkville business community with an emphasis on volunteerism and leadership over an extended period of time.
    • Doesn't have to be a current Chamber member.

    Nominations are accepted by resume/application from the membership at large and selected by a special committee appointed by the Chamber President.  Nominees include all previous nominated individuals.

    The winner will be announced February 25. 2023 at the 2023 Chamber Gala.

  • Directions:  Please provide information in the space below each question.  

  • 1) Identify the contributions for which you nominated the above person.  The nominee needs to have a proven commitment to doing business, providing leadership and volunteering in Parkville.  In addition, we ask that the nominee have an extended number of years of service to the community of Parkville.

  • 2) As completely as you can, describe how the contributions have affected the community of Parkville in a positive manner.  It must result in observable improvements and achievements in the community.

  • 3) Identify the time period (to the best of your ability) in which the nominee has served the community of Parkville.

  • 4) List two Parkville residents unrelated to nominee, who can serve as references for the exemplary character of the nominee.  The references must have credible knowledge of the individual's community spirit, background and accomplishments.  References will be contacted for final candidates only.
