  • Thank you for choosing to apply to RWIT! Your application is due by 11:59pm on February 1, 2016. **However, recommendations will be due by February 7th.** Any applications received after that time will not be considered. You should be prepared to submit the following materials:

    Cover Letter

    The cover letter should address your reasons for wanting to work for RWIT and your relevant qualifications. It should also illustrate your understanding of the RWIT pedagogy. You can learn more about the RWIT pedagogy in the training materials available in the "For Staff" section on the RWIT website: http://writing-speech.dartmouth.edu/learning/support-writing-research-and-composing-technology/staff.

    Resume

    The resume should describe your past experiences and current activities - academic, professional, athletic, extracurricular - and any notable skills or achievements. It should also include your current cumulative grade point average at Dartmouth.

    Please consult the guidelines from the Center for Professional Development for information about writing a cover letter and resume. The New Dartmouth Resume and Cover Letter Guides are accessible via Dartboard, which can be accessed here: https://www.myinterfase.com/dartmouth/Student/.

    Writing Sample

    The writing sample should be a 5-10 page academic paper in the form of a thesis-based essay. Please also include a brief description of the purpose of the document and/or the assignment prompt.

    Candidates interested in the Multi-Lingual Collaboration (MLC) may submit a paper in their language of interest in addition to the one required paper.

    Recommendation

    In addition, we also require one Recommendation. To request, you must complete the following Recommendation Request Form. Upperclassmen have the option of submitting two recommendations.

    Recommendations should be submitted by 11:59 pm on February 7th, 2016 via Jotform.

  • Multilingual Tutoring

  • RWIT tutors have the opportunity to apply to work as a Multilingual Tutor at an increased pay rate. Candidates must first qualify as a regular RWIT tutor before being considered for the Multilingual Collaboration Program. If you would like to apply to be a Multilingual Tutor, you will be asked to submit a writing sample in the language you want to work with and a recommendation from a faculty member speaking to your proficiency in the same language. This request will arrive in the Spring term.
