Play Group Rules are as follows:
1. Because some dogs are uncomfortable with children, we ask that if they attend playgroup, they must remain seated at all times for safety reasons. They should not attempt to pet a dog unless consent is given by that specific dog’s owner.
2. Appropriate play will be determined by the staff running the playgroup and they may choose to ask you to give the dog a break or may be excused completely if they feel that the dog is too aroused or aggressive to play nicely.
3. Owners should toilet their dogs before Play Group, and will clean up any accidents inside.
4. All dogs must be up to date on Distemper/Parvo and Rabies (if over 4 months) vaccinations. The Bordetella vaccination is highly recommended (but is not required). Proof of vaccinations must be submitted before a dog will be allowed into the playgroup (bring a copy to your first playgroup).
Sickness:
Please do not bring your dog to playgroup if you have noticed loose stools, runny nose or eyes, coughing, vomiting or other signs of sickness.
Aggressive and Fearful dogs:
Our Play Groups are not appropriate for dogs that fight with or are reactive to other dogs, or are aggressive to people. Dogs that are disruptive and/or jeopardize the safety of others will be dismissed from Play Group without a refund.
Dogs that are fearful and non-reactive (to be determined by a trainer – contact us with questions) toward other dogs and people are encouraged to attend playgroups as an opportunity for positive socialization experiences.
