You can receive credit for being a leader either within Phi Sigma Pi or outside of Phi Sigma Pi. This includes any leadership positions you may have held within the past five years and upon entering college, and can include a coaching position, project coordinator and so on.You can receive up to 1 point per position, for up to 4 total points.
You can receive credit for courses that you’ve taken outside of Phi Sigma Pi. This includes any leadership or professional development courses that you’ve taken within the past five years and upon entering college.You can receive up to 1 point per course, for up to 4 total points.
A Leadership in Action Facilitator is the person who gets in front of your Chapter and presents the Modules. Each Chapter should have a couple of Facilitators on hand at all time. This is a great way to get practice for public speaking, teaching or really, any job.
To become a Facilitator, you'll need to attend Facilitator Training at National Convention or a Leadership Academy. Attending Facilitator Training gets you 6 Leadership in Action points. For each Local Module you facilitate you will get a total of 8 points (6 for the Module and 2 for facilitating).
Take the Leadership Commitment Pledge, which is a commitment pledge to complete the Leadership in Action program. This optional commitment gives you access to additional opportunities for points like the Personal Development Plan. To complete the commitment pledge, simply read the commitment and initial below.I pledge to complete the Leadership in Action program so that I may not only become a stronger leader, but also inspire positive change in all facets of our Fraternity and in the community.
