Residents interested in serving as a volunteer on Broomfield’s Public Art Committee are asked to complete this application and submit it to the City Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017. You may attach extra pages to the application if you need additional space in answering the questions below. You may also attach a resume, if you wish. Applicants will be contacted and interviews will be conducted as needed on one of the evenings of March 2, March 6, and March 8, 2017, with additional evening interview dates as needed. This schedule will be determined after February 10, when all of the applications have been received. Official appointments will be made at a public meeting of the City Council on March 14, 2017.
Meeting Schedule: The Public Art Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday monthly at 6 p.m., plus additional project meetings as needed.
Purpose: Advance the public art master plan approved by City Council, including guidelines governing public art funding, selection, acquisition, placement, installation, marketing, and maintenance of works of art. Other responsibilities include development of an educational program for city residents and visitors on Broomfield’s public art program; conduct an annual inventory and condition assessment of the city’s public art collection; and consult with developers regarding public art opportunities in private developments, per direction of Council.
