Welcome to PHOTOVILLE 2016!
Our small team here at United Photo Industries decided to create this proposal form to help tackle the overwhelming amount of proposals that had been flowing in via email.
Please keep in mind that this is a preliminary form. Submission of this proposal form does not guarantee inclusion to Photoville 2016 - but it is an important and necessary step towards evaluating each proposal and reaching a final decision.
Once your propossal is reviewed and if we think it would be a good fit, a member of our team will be in touch between May 30 - June 15, 2016 with the next steps which would include discussing financial considerations (including the cost of renting a container space, exhibition production costs, etc - these could vary beween $3,800 - $8,000+ depending the size of your container and what services you need), as well as key curatorial and technical elements.
PLEASE NOTE that there are unavoidable costs associated with organizing an exhibition as part of Photoville, as we are working very hard to provide a platform for the photo community in NEW YORK CITY to reach a very large and diverse audience, and we continue to do so without any large grants or any kind of government support.
The UPI Team will be accepting proposals until May 20, 2016. Applications will be considered in the order they are received and spaces are limited so if interested, please consider submitting this proposal form at your earliest convenience.
