Proposals will be considered via a blind review process; thus, please do NOT include any personally identifiable information (i.e. investigator(s), institutions) in the proposal.
Completed research grant proposals include:
- The title of the proposal
- Brief (80 words or less) abstract of the proposed research (on its own page)
- 3-5 page description of the study including:
1. Statement of problem/research question(s)
2. Brief literature review
3. Description of research participants
4. Description of instrument, interview protocol, or other data collection tool
5. Procedures for data collection
6. Description of data analysis
7. Description of findings (preliminary or final)
8. Theoretical and/or practical relevance of the findings for student affairs
· An appendix to the proposal, which includes a detailed budget and explanation of how the funds will be used, a project timeline, copies of the instruments to be used, and a reference list.
Format: Double-spaced, 1 inch margins, 12 point size, times new roman font.
