1. Lesson preparation prior to instruction is evident.
2. Teacher is able to manage materials to transition from one activity to the next.

Guess Who - 8. Teacher keeps PCCs out of sight and says the sounds. (Total 10-15 PCCs)
9. Children repeat sound and write, air-trace and/or name the letters or characters.
Word Sort - 10. Children take turns placing Word Cards under the related PCCs.
11. After a child sorts a word, he or she points to all the words in the column for the class to read.
Story - 12. Teacher introduces the story.
13. Teacher reads the story to the class.
14. Teacher and children discuss the story.
