Purpose of Award
To financially assist a number of meritorious Undergraduate students every year to
pursue and continue their educational studies in the fields of engineering, architecture and construction management.
Eligibility:
- All full-time undergraduate students (taking at least 12 credits in a four-year program) pursuing studies in construction management in a program that is accredited by ABET or ACCE.
AMOUNT of AWARD
Currently, the scholarship award amount is Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) per recipient.

- Application form
- Short essay on topic specified by Scholarship Committee
- Resume
- Copy of transcript
- Two letters of recommendation

METHOD of SELECTION
Applicants shall be considered on the basis of merit. Applicants shall write an essay on a subject specified by the Scholarship Chair and approved by the Board. The essay will not exceed a maximum of 3 pages. The Scholarship Selection Committee shall consider the quality of the essay submitted by the applicant (20%), the applicant’s academic performance (40%), the applicant’s letters of reference (20%), and the applicant’s involvement in CMAA and/or relevant extra-curricular activities (20%). The Scholarship Selection Committee shall consist of the Scholarship Chair, the current President and the Past President of the CMAA Chicago Chapter.
