SRGDRR INC provides for all PREAPPROVED medical care provided to the dogs in foster care through the organization. Fosters provide for basic needs such as food, toys, treats, etc. We encourage you to save your receipts and document mileage to deduct on your income tax returns.
Foster agrees to transport dogs to and from their scheduled vet appointments and for emergency treatment. Non-emergency vet appointments may be made at the convience of the foster.
At no time is it acceptable to strike or hit any dog in your care. You are expected to provide a healthy, clean environment, proper exercise, fresh water, and high quality food. Outside areas must be kept free of pet waste and any items that might cause injury to the dog(s) in your care. If a dog becomes injured due to the clear negligence of the foster, the foster agrees to accept financial responsibility for any medical care needed for a full recovery. ALL injuries, scuffles with other dogs in the home, illness, and weekly updates must be reported to SRGDRR INC.
Fosters must be comfortable administering medications. Additionally, fosters may be required to change bandages and treat minor woulds or abrasions.
Fosters must be physically able to bathe dogs, brush teeth, clean ears, and clip their nails, OR be willing to hire at their own expense. Fosters must also supply food unless vet deems that a specialty diet is needed due to medical reasons. SRGDRR INC will provide the food if specialty diet is needed until the rescue dog is adopted.
Fosters accept full responsibility of any property damage caused by any dog in your care. Also, foster accepts full resonsibility of all medical issues that arise due to negligence, safety, etc. This includes, but is not limited to, dog being hit, bitten by other dog, hit by a car, bloating, broken bones, etc. SRGDRR INC is responsible for all medical such as shots, spay/neuter, heart worm care, worming, and only if needed, slow kill.
Fosters accept full responsibility for maintaining control of the dogs in their care and holds SRGDRR INC not responsible for any dog bite, injury to a person, injury to another dog, or another animal. This includes situations in the home, dog parks, walking, and jogging. At all times the foster is solely responsible for the conduct of their rescue and liable for any injuries while in their care for SRGDRR INC.
Fosters with dogs that are ready to be adopted must conduct and/or attend meet and greets in your area at least once per month.
Fosters will have input in regards to adoption applicants for fosters in their care, but the final decision is made by SRGDRR INC.
