    Grace Church Summer Internship Program

The Grace Church Internship Program provides opportunities for an intern to receive personal and spiritual mentoring as well as leadership development, ministry experience and a glimpse into the life of a person in ministry.  Interns will gain a valuable education working alongside Grace Church staff members.

    One-On-One Mentorship

We believe that relational investment is a vital aspect of growth and development, both personal and professional. That is why one of the core components of our internship program is a one-on-one mentorship with another leader. Each participant will spend one hour each week in one-on-one discussion with his/her mentor. The topic of discussion could vary widely and include both church-related issues and personal concerns.

    Hands On Experience

Each participant in the internship program will participate in the weekly ministry activities at Grace Church. This participation will vary in scope and practice each week.

    General Church Ministry Experience

Within the day-to-day operations of any church there are numerous tasks to complete, events to plan, ministries to oversee and people to pastor. It is common that every person on staff at a church, regardless of their official title, will be responsible for serving in or overseeing any number of areas which may or may not be directly related to each other.

As a part of the internship program, each participant will take part in overall church planning meetings, assist in other ministry areas and contribute to the big picture goals set in place by church leadership. Along the way, valuable skills will be developed in the areas of teamwork, servanthood, time management, prioritization of responsibilities and strategic planning.

    Eligibility

Candidates eligible to apply must be followers of Christ who fully support the vision of Grace Church as listed on our website.  Candidates must have at least a High School diploma.  The candidate will show the character required to lead and shepherd others as well as teachability to learn the discipline and skills necessary to serve in a growing ministry.

    Term

We are seeking full-time Interns for a 12 week program.

We will work as closely as possible with interns accepted into the program to help them secure housing; however, housing is ultimately the responsibility of the intern.

    Compensation

1st year Grace Summer Interns are paid a stipend of $200 per week.  However, if someone is earning college credit through the internship program, the guidelines set forth by the college or university in regards to compensation will be taken in to consideration.

3rd year Grace Summer Interns are paid $250 per week

4th year Grace Summer Interns are paid $275 per week
