Basic Life Support (BLS)
American Heart Association Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. In this classroom-based course, healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Primary Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Classes are held in the Clinical Education Classroom in the basement of the hospital. Take the elevator to the basement and follow the signs.

ALL CLASSES ARE RENEWAL CLASSES UNLESS SPECIFIED AS "NEW". If you are a Bingham Healthcare Employee, do not sign up for these classes. These classes are for community members.

You must cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled class to receive a refund. No refund will be issued if you cancel your registration less than 48 hours before the class. To cancel and request a refund contact our office at (208) 782-2450. Refunds can take 3-4 weeks to process.

Classes are subject to change. If the class is canceled by Bingham Memorial Hospital, the hospital will reschedule the class or issue a full refund.
