The objective of Wisconsin Tennis Association General Grants is to ensure that the opportunity to experience the educational, health and other lifetime benefits of tennis is available to players, volunteers and professionals. Grants are available to help non-profit organizations initiate or expand their tennis activities. Availability of funds varies each year depending upon the Committee budget, merit and clarity of the description of the program for which funds are requested, and the number and extent of the requests.
Grant Guidelines:
1. Maximum grant amount is $750.
2. The organization must be non-profit.
3. The organization must post programs on ServeTennis.
4. The organization's representative must be Safe Play approved.
5. Grant money is not to be used for full time, part time or seasonal salaries.
6. The grant amount will be issued in 2 installments. The first half will be distributed before the program begins. The second half will be distributed after a program evaluation with receipts is submitted. Unused funds must be returned to the WTA.
7. Funds may be used for both start-up and continuing programs for adults or youth.
8. Funds may be used for guest coaches, resonable publicity costs and other costs relating to the program such as court fees or balls.
Note to grant recipients: To receive the second half of your funds, you must complete and send the WTA Grant 2nd Half Report along with a digital copy of your program receipts to Pam Hammond, Chief Executive Officer, pamhammond62@gmail.com.
