Description: Pop-up your art project in this un-used free-standing bus shelter in downtown Guelph.
Size: 4' wide x 7' long x 7' tall + approx 2' additional above windows
Window Sizes: 7' tall
- Temporary installation of projects that are suitable for outdoor public spaces. Note: Roof in bus shelter #s1101 broken and may let in some water.
- Artists may not cover any existing advertising on the shelter.
- Bus shelter must be left in original condition.
- Public safety must be considered at all times and transparency of windows be maintained.
As transit shelters are municipally owned, artists are required to provide a physical description of the artwork proposed for these spaces, including dimensions, materials used to build it, materials needed to install it, and a description of the installation process (including tools, equipment and/or electrical requirements).
In the interest of public safety, certain installations will require City of Guelph staff presence on site during installation and removal. In this case GAC will work with the City and artist(s) selected to confirm a schedule for installation, exhibition and removal.
