2016 SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION

The Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program was established to ensure professional and personal development for continuous growth, advancement, and success through education, community involvement and mentoring.
The Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program provides scholarships annually to deserving students attending or soon to be attending an establishment of higher learning. Applicants sponsored by a Women of AT&T member are eligible for scholarships.
A minimum of fifteen $1000 scholarships will be awarded to:
- Graduating high school seniors.
- Students already enrolled in or attending an establishment of higher education.
The Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program Committee will annually determine the number and amount of scholarships given as funding warrants.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for the Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school. The applicant must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (4.00 scale). All applicants must be sponsored by an active WOA member. Both female and male students are eligible.
NOTE: AT&T employees are not eligible to receive a National Women of AT&T Scholarship. Family and friends are eligible.
AWARD CRITERIA
Recipients of the scholarships are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas:
- Academic Standing (GPA, SAT/ACT)
- Essay Quality
- Community/School Involvement
- Leadership Experience
- Work Experience
