  • Save a Life Canada Animal Rescue Adoption Application

Save a Life Canada is a registered and incorporated, federal nonprofit animal welfare and rescue organization. We do not receive Government or grant funding to operate. We rely on adoption fees and donations from the public to be able to save the lives we do. All of our dogs are fostered in family homes until adopted and receive their vaccinations, spay/neuter, flea and worm treatment, microchipping, health certificates, and vet records. We do not bring heartworm positive dogs into care; they remain with our global partners until healthy enough to travel to Canada.
  • Please complete all the required information on the application. Missing information may delay the adoption screening process.

Completion of this application form does not guarantee that a SALCARS volunteer will place one of our pets in your care.

Completion of this questionnaire authorizes Save A Life Canada Animal Rescue Society to verify any information contained herein, including verification of medical records of any present or prior pets treated by the veterinarians listed.

Completion of this adoption process is an indication that you have read, understand and agree to abide by our Animal Adoption Agreement and that the information contained within this application is accurate and not misleading in any way.

All adoptions are at the sole discretion of SALCARS.

  • Please give careful consideration to adopting an animal.

Animals are not toys or short-term commitments.

Make sure your lifestyle allows the time, patience and expense this animal will need over the years.

  • Approved local adopters may be expected to travel within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or PEI to pick up their pets. We can work with adopters in other areas to facilitate an adoption with a local rescue near you.
