• Extended and International Trips Application

  • This Application is used for domestic travel of three (3) or more nights duration and international travel of any length. An initial application should be submitted at the time of initial planning. While it’s rare, some trips may need altered to meet Girl Scout guidelines. For this reason, girls should not complete additional planning until the initial approval is confirmed. A final application is required at least six (6) weeks prior to the date of departure. Confirmation will be provided within ten (10) days of receipt.

    •  At the time of the trip, all participants must be currently registered Girl Scout members.
    •  At the time of the trip, all adult chaperones must be currently approved volunteers with completed background checks.
    •  All trips require a First Aid/CPR trained adult.
    •  At least one adult on the trip is required to take additional Trip and Travel training.
    •  Refer to Chapter 4: Safety-Wise of Volunteer Essentials. Review all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
    •  Refer to Volunteer Essentials, Appendix II: For Travel Volunteers
    •  All binding contracts must be submitted to GSNEO for approval (i.e. van rentals, bus rentals, etc.).
    •  Additional insurance or paperwork will be included in the confirmation information.
    •  The length of this trip may require that all participants complete the “Resident Camp and 3+ Day Travel Health Form.” This form requires a physical within 24 months of the trip.

The online application for Simple Overnight Trips (one or two nights) can be found here.
