THIS PERMIT MUST BE IN YOUR POSSESSION WHEN BURNING
Thank you for obtaining a tribal burning permit. Below is a list of safety tips for burning. Please read and take in consideration of the following suggestions. This will help lower the amount of wildfires in our communities that threaten homes and natural resources.
· Attend fire until completely extinguished
· Don’t delay a call for help (Call the forestry office or PD)
· Watch the wind (ABOVE 10 MPH DON'T BURN)
· Watch for hazardous materials around burn are (Propane tanks, gas cans, slash piles, garbage, etc.)
· Alternatives to burning (landfill, recycle, chipping, mulching, etc.)
· Keep eye on children (Don’t let children start or play with fires)
