How to make a good story pitch

Your story must be true, must be told in the first-person in 7 minutes or less, and must incorporate the show's theme. Be sure that your story is a story, not a speech, lecture, stand-up routine, or sermon. That means it has a narrative arc with a series of unfolding events and scenes. Help us understand what is at stake for you, the protagonist in the story, what the story's ultimately about, and how the experience affects you.

REHEARSAL

Look at the schedule below for the rehearsal date of the show you're pitching. The single, mandatory rehearsal for all 2nd Tues shows takes place at Story District's Headquarters, at 3329 Georgia Ave NW, DC 20009 on a Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM, either 2 & 1/2 or 3 & 1/2 weeks before the show.
