Cap-Gap Employment Authorized:
You need to provide a copy of this I-20 to your employer as proof that you can continue working until your H-1B petition becomes effective or is denied.
I-20 Signed for Travel:
If you want OISP to sign your current I-20 (rather than creating a new one), please drop the I-20 off at the front desk in the Otte Center for Student Services instead of submitting this request form. Make sure you write your name and request on the envelope for OISP.
I-20 for Dependents:
You should sign the I-20 and send it along with the proof of financial support to your dependent(s) so they can apply for an F-2 (I-20) visa at the U.S. Consulate/Embassy closest to their place of residence. Once they have successfully obtained the visa and entered the U.S., please submit copies of their passport, visa stamp, and I-94 to OISP. NOTE: Dependents do not have to pay the SEVIS fee.
