HOUSTON'S FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH WEDDING POLICY AGREEMENT
Houston's First Baptist Church affirms that the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God, and the final authority in all matters. The Bible affirms that marriage is the first institution created by God for man and provides specific instruction as to its nature and requirements of conduct. Therefore, we encourage all couples seeking to be married to consult God and His word regarding their union. In submitting to the Bible as God's Word, Houston's First Baptist Church reserves the right to deny use of its facilities to any couple that openly rejects by statement or conduct the teachings in the Bible regarding salvation, marriage or Christian living.
As a couple, we understand that it is our responsibility to contact the Preparation for Marriage Program (PMP) to make arrangments to participate. The PMP Coordinator will guide us toward completing the program requirements prior to the wedding date. We also understand that a refund of money for this program is not applicable if cancellation occurs after the program has begun.
With the completion of this application, we are submitting the amount of $250.00 as Wedding Security Deposit. We understand that cancellation of the wedding for any reason is cause for forfeiture of this deposit. All charges for our wedding will be due in full prior to the wedding date. We understand that nothing is officially on the Houston's First Baptist Church calendar until (1) this form and deposit are submitted to the HFBC Special Events Director, (2) we, as a couple, have completed the Initial Minister's Interview with an HFBC staff minister, and (3) we receive email communication that the date is confirmed.
We have read the complete "HFBC Wedding Policies" available online, we understand the policies and costs, and agree to follow the policies as written. We will do our utmost to see that members of our wedding party understand and follow these policies also. By our signatures, we agree that failure to comply with HFBC wedding policies would be considered "disregard of policy" and could mean forfeiture of our Security Deposit.
