Welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to nominate an adult for consideration for induction into the Order of the Arrow!
Please note that a nomination does not guarantee selection. The lodge adult selection committee (comprised of the Lodge Key 3 and the Council Scout Executive) will meet twice yearly to review and select candidates for induction.
An invitation to register for the ordeal will be issued only to those selected for induction into the Order of the Arrow.
Please do not nominate yourself, as your nomination will be discarded.
Qualifications
Nominees will be considered based on his or her ability to be an asset to the youth of the lodge and the Order of the Arrow, and not based on any other criteria including tenure in Scouting or other achievements.
In addition to the special adult criteria above, the same camping achievement required of youth are required of the successful adult nominee.
Quota
Each year, upon holding a troop, crew or ship election for youth candidates that results in at least one youth candidate being elected, the unit committee may nominate registered unit adults (age 21 or over) to the lodge adult selection committee.
The number of adults nominated can be no more than one-third of the number of youth candidates elected, rounded up where the number of youth candidates is not a multiple of three.
In addition to the one-third limit, the unit committee may nominate the currently-serving unit leader (but not assistant leaders), as long as s/he has served as unit leader for at least the previous 12 months.
The person making the nomination as well as the nominee must be currently registered members of Boy Scouts of America.
