Dr. Antonio Jorge Political Economy Scholarship

The Dr. Antonio Jorge Foundation, Inc., a non-pofit charitable organization, in consultation with the Dr. Antonio Jorge Social and Economic Development Council of Miami-Dade County (AJSEDC), is proud to offer the Dr. Antonio Jorge Political Economy Scholarship. The scholarship is intended to memorialize Dr. Jorge's life and to promote his ideals: a better society for all, education, and international cooperation. Each year two qualified students will be awarded $500 each in order to facilate their pursuit of an undergraduate education in a field related to political economy, an interdisciplinary branch of the social sciences that focuses on the interrelationships among individuals, governments, and public policy.
1. Deadlines and Criteria:

The window for scholarships opens during the fall semester for the upcoming spring and summer terms. The application form for 2022-2023 is currently open.
Applicants for the Dr. Antonio Jorge Political Economy Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Must reside in Miami - Dade County, FL, prior to submitting the application.
- Must pursue an undergraduate degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Sociology, International Relations, or Public Administration.
- Must attend a regionally accredited college or university in Miami Dade County, FL.
