WORKSITE UTILITY COORDINATION SUPERVISOR (WUCS) GDOT - DAMAGE PREVENTION COURSE

This course may be taken to satisfy the Georgia DOT training requirement for Worksite Utility Coordination Supervisor (WUCS). It is a four (4) hour Public Service Commission (PSC) approved course (8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon). The course will be a proactive approach to Damage Prevention and includes an overview of the excavator responsibilities regarding the Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act (GUFPA) to include statistical data of injuries, fatalities and property damage; videos of excavators safe work practices; overview of Georgia High Voltage Safety Act; safe work practices for excavators due to non-locates; requirements and legal responsibilities under (GUFPA) and procedures for filing a PSC complaint - responding to the NOPV and accident procedures when an underground utility line is damaged.
