The application below outlines the required information and requirements to apply for a Chapte or Colony Community Service & Philanthropy Grant. After the grant application is reviewed, the primary contact will be notified if the funding is approved with the amount the group will receive to help fund the project. Please note that not all grants may be approved in full due to limitations in funding. Additionally, grants are approved on a first-come, first-served basis. You may apply for funds for a project in a future semester.
The purpose of this grant is to provide assistance for chapters and colonies in deferring costs for chapter-sponsored or colony-sponsored community-service or philanthropy projects.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS OR ITEMS
The following are examples of things which you may apply for to spend grant money:
Supplies for a community-service projects or philanthropic projects
Travel expenses to travel to a community service project
INELIGIBLE PROJECTS OR ITEMS
The following are examples of things which you may not apply for to spend grant money:
Donations to other entities
Hotel expenses or boarding costs
Food for participants or attendees of the project
Individual projects or activities not hosted by the chapter
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
Chapter/colony must be in good standing and current with all reporting and payments to the Fraternity Service Center
All health-and-safety policies must be followed as outlined in
, as well as all university, local, state, and federal laws and policies.
Event and expected cost for the program, as well as grant request amount, are to be included on the application.
The chapter/colony should submit an application no later than one month prior to the project/event.
The chapter/colony contact, as indicated on the application, will be contacted with the status of the application within one week of submission.
The chapter/colony should host the project and submit receipts following the event for reimbursement for the project. Checks will be made out to the chapter/colony, not to an individual.
