Technology Contract (Acceptable Computer, Internet, Email Use Policy (AUP))
One of the missions of the Syracuse University STEP Program is to provide students access to/ the use of up-to-date technology and equipment during the Saturday Learning Academy and/or any other academic workshops facilitated by STEP.
In order to use STEP computes/iPads/laptops, all parents and students must sign an Acceptable Computer, Internet, and Email Use Policy (AUP) form. The forms are kept on file for the duration of the child's enrollment in the program.
As part of the AUP, students and parents are agreeing that the STEP Technology equipment is available for academic use only. Playing games, accessing inappropriate websites, downloading music/videos, and spilling food or drink on a computer advice is unacceptable. Any student caught violating the STEP Computer policies/procedure will no longer have access to STEP Technology equipment.
