Thank you for your interest in school tours at the Speed Art Museum!
We are currently accepting reservations for the 2019-2020 School Year. Before placing your request, make sure to look through our tour themes and descriptions at the School Tour Page.
Before requesting a tour or group visit, please review the following:
About This Form: This form is intended for tour requests from preK-12 school groups and other age-equivalent groups.
Request Deadlines: All guided and self-guided tours must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance.
Date Availability: While we welcome all requests, we cannot guarantee the availability of dates and times. This form is a request only, and not a confirmation. Dates are NOT guaranteed through email or over the phone without the completion of this form and a confirmation/invoice. After submitting this form, you will be contacted within at least 5 business days via email with a confirmation/invoice for your visit.
Tuesday Visits are now offered for guided school groups depending on availability. Please note that special exhibition access, museum cafe, and museum store access may be limited during Tuesday school tours.
Multiple Tours: You may book tours for multiple days. A seperate form must be submitted for each requested calendar day.
Art Sparks, the Speed's interactive learning gallery, can be included along with a guided or self-guided tour. Please note that Art Sparks can only accomodate 20 students at a time. Larger groups will be asked to rotate between Self-Guided Gallery Time and Art Sparks.
Assignments: Guided Tours typically do not include time for the completion of school assignments or worksheets. For groups that wish to complete their own assignments during the visit, we recommend scheduling a self-guided tour instead.
Lunches: The Speed does not have an indoor lunch space for school groups. Groups may use our outdoor picnic tables free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should your group need an indoor lunch location during your visit, it is the responsibility of your group to find accommodations. Please note that time to eat lunch is not allotted during your scheduled programming, and take this into consideration when choosing a time for your visit.
All group reservations require a minimum of 10 students per visit to receive school group rates. Groups are limited in size as listed below:
