MLS Terms of Agreement
Charges are not processed with submission. They will be processed once application has been processed by the Association.
Pro-rated Dues: Depending on the month you join during our fiscal year, applicants who have never been members of a REALTOR® Association, or who have not paid dues to another Association during the past 2 years, will be charged pro-rated Local, State and National dues. Please contact a staff member to assist you with the calculation of your total dues by calling the association office at 972-316-6742.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION: I understand that to remain a Member in Good Standing receiving MLS and Supra Key privileges, I must attend an orientation within 45 days of joining the Association. If I am unable to attend, I will notify the GLAR office at (972) 316-6742 to be re-scheduled to the next available class. Failure to attend will result in loss of services until such time that I complete the required Orientation.
CODE OF ETHICS: I understand that AS A NEW LICENSEE, I am required by NAR to complete a 2 ½ hour Code of Ethics course within 10 days of application. The Code of Ethics is offered on-line at the National Association of REALTORS® web-site at www.realtor.org.
I must provide the Association (GLAR), with proof of the completion of the online Code of Ethics and NTREIS training before I will receive my MLS password. If I do not provide confirmation that I have completed the online training for Code of Ethics, I am aware that my MLS & Supra Keycard services will be interrupted. Or, if you have completed your Code of Ethics and/or MLS training at another Board of REALTORS®, you are required to provide GLAR proof of the completion date and location. (You will receive your MLS password via the email address you supplied GLAR on your application for membership or you can receive your password in person at the GLAR office).
NTREIS Rules & Regulations: Section 9.04 Participants, Subscribers, and Ancillary Users shall not furnish to, disclose to, or permit the use of their MLS passwords and or access codes to the MLS by any person, firm, company, or other entity, except as may be authorized from time to time by the Directors. Any violation of this section by a Participant, Subscriber, or Ancillary User will subject the violators to loss of MLS services in addition to any other sanctions authorized by these rules or Policies of the Code of Ethics. I have read the above and understand that the sharing of my login/password may result in loss of MLS service. (There will be a 25% late processing fee if quarterly MLS fee is not paid by due date & services will be made inactive).
ACTIVE KEY/E-KEY SERVICE: I understand that I will be invoiced annually or monthly via email from Supra (dba UTC Fire & Security) depending on the key service that I select (ActiveKey, eKey Basic) in accordance with the current rates and requirements established with the appropriate Key agreement. For ActiveKey users, my Annual key service fee must be paid to Supra on or before May 30th to avoid interruption of service. For EKey users, my monthly key service fee will be automatically drafted by the 4th of each month. If the fees are not paid in accordance with the agreement and/or invoice, key privileges will be discontinued until such time all fees are paid, including a reinstatement fee. Sharing of keycards is prohibited except by broker. I understand that the Supra equipment and/or downloaded service is provided to me by a lease agreement, and all such equipment will be returned to GLAR within 5 days of request by the association upon termination of membership or for non-payment. I further understand that the access to the equipment will be dis-continued upon termination of membership.
ANNUAL ASSOCIATION DUES: In accordance with the policy guidelines set forth by the National Association of REALTORS®, the Texas Association of REALTORS®, and the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS®, annual dues are invoiced directly to me via email during the month of October each year and are DUE UPON RECEIPT. As a member of this Association, I know that any dues not paid on or before December 19th of the current year, will be assessed a 25% late processing fee for any payment made after this date.

I understand that if I fail to meet the requirements of membership, my application fee and prorated annual dues will be forfeited . I also understand that these fees and all dues are non-refundable.

This consent applies to changes in contact information that may be provided by me to the Association in the future. This consent recognizes that certain state and federal laws may place limits on communications that I am waiving to receive all communications as part of my membership.

Terms of Agreement
Please read the following in its entirety and check "yes" if you agree to the terms and conditions stated for each section. A copy of these Terms of Agreement can be found under the "Forms" tab on glar.com
I hereby apply for REALTOR® membership in the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS® (GLAR). I agree as a condition to membership to complete the Orientation course for GLAR if I am a Newly Licensed REALTOR® by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), if any, and otherwise on my own initiative to thoroughly familiarize myself with the “Code of Ethics”, of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, including the duty to arbitrate contractual and specific non-contractual disputes in accordance with Article 17 of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Ethics/Arbitration Manual of the National Association of REALTORS®, and the Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the State Association (TAR), and the Bylaws of the GLAR®. I further agree that my act of paying dues shall evidence my initial and continuing commitment to abide by the aforementioned Code of Ethics, Constitution, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, and duty to arbitrate, all as from time to time to amended.
Applicant acknowledges that GLAR will maintain a file of information that may be shared with other Boards/Associations where applicant subsequently seeks membership. This file shall include previous applications of membership; all final findings of Code of Ethics violations and violations of other membership duties within the past (3) years; pending complaints alleging violations of the Code of Ethics or alleging violations of other membership duties; incomplete or pending disciplinary measures; pending arbitration request; and information related to unpaid arbitration awards or unpaid obligations to the Board or its Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
Applicant acknowledges that if accepted as a Member and he/she subsequently resigns or is expelled from membership in the Association with an ethics complaint or arbitration request pending, the Board of Directors may condition renewal of membership upon applicant’s verification that he/she will submit to the pending ethics or arbitration proceedings and will abide by the decision of the Hearing Panel; or if applicant resigns or is expelled from membership without having complied with an award in arbitration. The Board of Directors may condition renewal of membership upon his/her payment of the award, plus any costs that have been established previously as due and payable in relation thereto, provided that the award and such costs have not, in the interim, been otherwise satisfied.
