SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Residence Life Manager #1:
Directly advises the Residence Hall Association (RHA). Responsibilities include recruiting, training and advising RHA executive board members; planning, assigning, and directing responsibilities; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Overseeing the planning and hosting of residence hall events, Treat Tuesdays, and weekly What Up Wednesday events (WUW).
Assisting with administrative processes including but not limited to: bulletin board inspections, community connection review, social media postings, the monthly residence life newsletter and mid semester/year room check outs.
Residence Life Manager #2:
Directly supervises Residence Life Night Monitor (NM) work study students. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing responsibilities; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assisting with administrative processes including but not limited to: weekly key inventories, weekly roster/billing audits, weekly empty room inspections, weekly common area furniture inventories, facility checks & GOTCHA, and mid semester/year room check outs.
ALL RLMS
- Collateral assignment (listed above)
- On-call rotation including academic breaks
- Desk shifts when vacant (if not able to picked up by RAs)
- 10 office hours per week (5 DLR, 5 hall; all DRL during winter and summer breaks while contract is in session)
- Weekly report
- Daily report
- Attend and present at meetings weekly staff meeting/leadership training
- Weekly 1 on 1s with AC
- Weekly leadership meeting with ACs and DRL
- Weekly staff meeting
- Staff residence life booths at Job Fair (fall) & Leadership Fair (spring)
- Complete check-ins/outs
- Training development, implementation, and participation
