RELEASE FORM AGREEMENT: (Please read and TYPE YOUR NAME in the agreement box below. We are unable to read any entries submitted without this.)
I am submitting to BOOKS 'N PIECES MAGAZINE/B&P BOOKS, LLC [PUBLISHER] under the terms and conditions stated herein, the attached written CONTENT for the purpose of review for publication. I understand, acknowledge, and agree that the CONTENT may be rejected for many different reasons, and such rejection is not a reflection of the quality of the work
I understand that no contractual relationship is established between you and me by reason of this Agreement or by reason of my submission to you of the CONTENT.
I further acknowledge that at this time you have no ability to compensate me in any way, and I have no expectation of receiving any compensation at this time.
If my work is accepted or rejected, I will receive an email notice within 4-6 weeks of submission, often sooner.
I affirm that I am the sole owner and creator of the CONTENT and that I have the full right to submit the CONTENT to you; that I solely control all rights in and to the CONTENT; or that if any other creators are involved, they are listed herein and have consented to the submission. I understand that ALL RIGHTS aside from the one-time right to publish in B&P Magazine (digital/print) remain with me.
I acknowledge that I may be contacted to have my story included in an anthology by B&P Books, and that I will be offered separate terms if that happens, exclusive of this contract.
IMPORTANT: I affirm that the CONTENT will not infringe upon or violate the copyright or any other rights of any person or entity, including, without limitation by means of defamation, libel, slander or violation of any right of privacy or publicity, and that there are no liens, encumbrances or adverse claims; nor is there pending or threatened litigation or any other proceeding relating to the CONTENT, or any rights therein. I also understand that if any legal action is brought about as a result of the above statement being false, all legal consequences will be solely mine, and I relieve B&P Books/B&P Magazine of any and all liability.
I affirm that if CONTENT has been published elsewhere, either online or in print, I will have stated above.
I also indemnify PUBLISHER for any liability for stories or novels I have posted on PUBLISHER's website and acknowledge that PUBLISHER has recommended seeking copyright protection for my work (https://www.copyright.gov) prior to publicly posting.
Each party hereby waives any and all rights and benefits which they might otherwise have or be entitled to under the laws of any state within the United States, to litigate any dispute in court, it being the intention of the parties to arbitrate, according to the provisions hereof, all such disputes, as the sole and exclusive means to resolve any such disputes.
Any such dispute may be submitted to arbitration within Ada County, Idaho, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
By completing this Release Form Agreement with the CONTENT and entering my name and contact information in lieu of my signature, I am agreeing to the terms stated here within.
