VisionDC 2017 is an arts and urban innovation summit that will be held at Arena Stage. This collaborative intiative will provide a platform that enables the exchange of ideas and creation of strategies for urban growth. As part of this event CulturalDC is looking for artists and performers to activate Arena Stage and engage summit visitors and participants. Artists, musicians, and performers are all encouraged to apply. CulturalDC will be activating all areas of Arena Stage, for more information about the location please visit their website: www.arenastage.org. Art installations should be temporary and easily removable, no damage to the walls will be allowed.
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION
- Artists will be provided a modest stipend;
- You will be granted complementary admission to VisionDC (the summit) and funding events leading up to the summit.
TO APPLY:
- Application form
- A project description – describe your artistic vision, include details on any
participating artists, and outline how long your project will run (continuously or in scheduled sets). Visual aids are highly recommended where applicable, as well as project budget, site criteria, technical strategy & necessary
equipment that you will bring/use.
- Up to 5 jpeg images of proposed work.
- Up to 5 jpeg images of representative work and/or website url and/or online
video.
