    This is the organization which appears on official shipping documents as the recipient of the container. In some cases the Consignee is the healthcare institution which will utilize the donated medical supplies. In other cases it is a charitable organization which will receive the container and give the donated medical supplies to a local healthcare institution.

  • Notify Party

    This is the person to whom official shipping documents will be mailed via ground courier. This person will use the shipping documents to remove the container from the port.

  • MedShare ships the container to the ocean port nearest to the consignee. The consignee is responsible for transporting the container from the port to the hospital(s) where the medical supplies will be used.

  • CONTAINER CONTENT SELECTION:  Please identify the supplies and equipment that are most needed below.  Based on this, MedShare staff will make selections from our inventory and send the medical facility a proposed packing list to for their review and approval.  As an organization who depends on donations, MedShare will not have all desired items on hand, but will work to best meet your needs.

  • BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT REQUESTS

    Note: MedShare relies on donations to support our mission.  While we will strive to support your highest priority items to the best of our abilities, please be aware that it is unlikely that we willbe able to provide every requested item.  


  • If your supply voltage is not 110 V/60 Hz, you may need additional transformers to properly operate the equipment you receive. At your request, MedShare can purchase transformers for you for an additional cost.

     
  • Funding

  • MedShare uses a co-funding model where both organizations bring resources to support a container project.  Your organization is responsible for raising $28,000 USD to initiate a standard project. 
    These funds cover all of the supplies and equipment in the a standard container, ocean transportation to the Port of Destination, all necessary transformers for medical equipment, logistical support, and a portion of MedShare’s administrative costs. Non-standard projects may incur additional costs.

    MEDSHARE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND ALL OF THE MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT WE SEND ARE DONATED.
