    Please use this application for new homes or additions or if you don't see another application that applies to your project. You do not need to fill out any other applications as the mechanical, plumbing and electric inspections and fees will be included in the building permit.

    No other permit applications need to be submitted for this improvement.

  • Contractor's performing home improvements must provide PaHIC# and also provide a copy of a Certificate of Insurance naming Amity Township as a Certificate Holder

  • REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: submit 2 copies of drawings, 1 copy for Amity Twp. file and one copy to be returned with permit. The returned plans must remain available on-site.  The Building Code Official may require an architectural or engineer seal for obscure designs or large open spans. Plot plan or survey showing setbaks from property lines must also be provided for all permit applications.

    DRAWING: Detailed architectural plans must be provided showing all types and dimensions of construction.  Permit may be denied due to lack of information and details in order to perform code review.  ResCheck is acceptable for energy compliance.  Sealed wood truss drawings, if appliable, must be submitted with application and available on-site for rough framing inspection.

  • All contractors and installers performing residential improvements must provide a certificate of insurance naming Amity Township as a Certificate Holder. All contractors performing improvements on commercial buildings or new home construction must obtain an Amity Township Contractor's License. Applications are available on this website.

    Once the application is received, permit processing typically takes 7-10 business days. Please check your email during this process as we may contact you for additional information that may be required or that your permit is ready for final processing. Permit fees will be due upon issuance of the permit. Permit fees can be found on the Building Department web page.
