• Moody Writing Support Program

    Please complete the form below to apply for a position with us. We will accept your application at any time during the year, but will select new coaches in November and May for the following semesters. If you are selected, your appointment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check. You'll also need to provide your resume, two writing samples and a letter of reference from one Writing Flag instructor in your major.
  • Requirements:

    1) Applicants for Journalism, PR/ADV and CMS must be undergrads. Applicants for CSD and RTF positions may be grad students who received their bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

    2) Successful applicants will have earned an A or A- in major Writing Flag courses in their major. (Journalism coaches must have met that standard in Reporting Words.)

    3) Those hired will successfully complete an editing test and an interview with the Moody Writing Support Program director.
