JRs policy regarding adoption of puppies under 6 months to families with children younger than 8 years old is a firm policy.
We have found over the years that our return rate is considerably higher when puppies under 6 months are adopted to families with children under 8. While we realize that this might be disappointing to you, we have lots of wonderful puppies who are 6 months or older and they are past the biting, chewing, and not sleeping through the night stage. I encourage you and your family to look at some of the slightly older puppies. They have tons of puppy play left in them well beyond 6 months
Where will your pet be kept? (check all that apply)
JRs considers the omission of previously returned or rehomed pets to be a blatant attempt at misdirection. While rehoming a dog does not automatically disqualify you from adoption, intentionally leaving a rehomed pet off of the application will.
JRs does require that minimally all animals (including indoor cats) have an annual exam, rabies and distemper shots as well as annual wellness exams including HW test. Titter testing can be done in lieu of annual vaccines.
