DEFINITION: Number of NEW or REVISED policies / legal frameworks / regulations / administrative procedures in the policy areas of enabling environment for private sector investment, agricultural trade policy, agricultural inputs policy, land and natural resources tenure, rights, and policy, resilience and agricultural risk management policy, and nutrition policy, that are Implemented for the first time in the reporting year.
This Indicator represents the fifth stage of the five-stage policy change process conceptualized in the Results Framework. The other being Indicators 4 (stage 1: review and analysis of policies), 12 (stage 2: new policy developed or existing policy revised), 13 (stage 3: new or revised policies undergoing formal policy approval process), and 14 (stage 4: new or revised policies undergoing formal policy approved).
Do not “double-count” policies that passed through several stages during the reporting year. Report only the highest stage completed during the reporting year. For e.g., if a policy was developed, then it went through the approval process, and finally was approved for implementation in the same fiscal year, report one policy under Indicator 14.
