The Grace Kids Nursery and Childcare Coordinator will provide a framework for communication and teamwork among volunteers, parents and children to meet the overall goals and objectives of the nursery ministry. This person also takes a hands-on roll to insure that resources and staffing are available to the ministry leaders and volunteers. The coordinator will continue the development of a high quality, dynamic, fun, Christ-glorifying and Bible-centered Grace Kids environment. They will also be the key contact to organize childcare for other Grace events.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Identify and develop leaders to partner with that can help meet the needs of the nursery
- Help create and develop a culture within the nursery department that embraces the values, purposes and direction of Grace Kids
- Take the initiative in building relationships, conducting regular informational/training sessions, and showing appreciation to the nursery volunteers
- Schedule and confirm all volunteers needed to staff our nursery rooms
- Oversee the nursery rooms for weekend services
- Pursue regular contact and relationship building with children and their parents
- Attend staff wide meetings and training
- Meet regularly with the Grace Kids Team to develop, encourage and assess needs in the ministry
- Assist in development of annual Ministry Plan and Budget, and track nursery budget
- Ensure safety of children by following and enforcing established Grace Kids and Grace Church procedures
- Ensure each room is equipped and organized with the needed supplies to create a welcoming, interactive, safe and educational experience
- Facilitate curriculum process for all nursery classrooms ensuring a deliveable product
- Work with Human Resources and Ministry Coordinators to ensure adequate childcare workers are available for non weekend service times for all age groups
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule all childcare workers (paid and unpaid)
- Evaluate childcare workers consistently
- Maintain requirements for all Nursery volunteers and Childcare Workers
- Oversee deep cleaning of all classrooms
- Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities
Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 2 years ministry experience preferred
- Experience with leading children either direct or indirect
- Good organizational and team building skills
- Proficient use and experience with pc applications and databases
- Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
