Position Details:
Direct and organize the Beverage department function within the hotel in order to maintain high standards of beverage quality, consistency and service to maximize profits. Knowledge of Wine, Craft Cocktails and Spirits essential. Responsible for underground Speakeasy Lounge, banquet and restaurant beverage. Participate in total hotel management as a member of the Leadership Team.
Requirements:
Min. 3 years as a Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager, Sommelier or combination. Previous supervisory/management experience; interviewing, training, coaching and counseling payroll, scheduling, inventories, cost control and purchasing. Must be literate and be able to communicate well in English. Must have diplomacy in dealing with difficult situations and people. Must be able to demonstrate creativity and attention to detail. Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs unassisted. Must be neat and professional in appearance. Must be reliable and able to adapt to working a flexible schedule. Must be able to acquire the Kansas City Liquor Card and Food Card.
