Guidelines and Criteria
At least 50% of the student learning for the course, either through what is already offered, or through supplemental readings, assignments or projects, should address the areas listed below. That 50% also needs to address at least two of these areas. Please write a paragraph in which you describe how your work for your course will meet these guidelines.
Exploration of how the construct of gender identity shapes an individual’s or community’s experiences and how writers, artists, scholars, researchers and practitioners represent or respond to those gendered experiences.
Examination of institutions and structures of power in terms of their implications for people as gendered beings
Engagement with the established field of women's and gender studies and the body of scholarship it has produced
