  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture! Our volunteer program is open to ages 16 and older who are interested in learning how to become or be an ally in advancing and preserving the knowledge about Deaf people, their languages, cultures, and experiences in the United States and around the world. Once a volunteer application/email address is on record, volunteers will be eligible to begin volunteering. You will be contacted when volunteer opportunities become available.

  • The following information is collected for use in grant applications and reporting to help MDHAC get funding.  Answering these questions are completely voluntary, not required. 

  • PHOTO PERMISSION

    The Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture has my permission to use photographs of me or my child (a minor under 18 years of age) taken during MDHAC activities for use on their website or other promotional material. These pictures may be posted on social media platforms as well as used for marketing and promotions within the MDHAC.

  • Community Service Requirements

    The Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture cannot guarantee the availability of hours to fulfill community service requirements. We will do our best to accommodate all volunteers along with their schedules and needs.

  • MDHAC staff will review all completed applications and follow up with candidates by email.  Note that applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
