The ICLS admission policy reflects the goals and objectives of the mission statement to offer student-centered language programs that develop authentic target language use, focus on individual goals, and enable students to be successful in a global environment. As a post-secondary language institution, ICLS requires that students be at least 17 years of age to enroll. Younger applicants may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. ICLS admits applicants who are interested in learning English as a Second Language without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

ICLS admits students to the Intensive English Program, private, or semi-private classes on a rolling basis. Students are contacted for scheduling and placement testing once the completed online application form, signed enrollment agreement, and registration fee have been received.

Admission to ICLS evening group classes is based on the class schedules found on our website.* Group class enrollment is limited to 12 students.

Enrollment Agreement
Please read this Enrollment Agreement and Refund Policy very carefully before you sign it. Your signature indicates acceptance of all its terms and conditions. Please note that only the student attending classes at ICLS should sign this form.
REGISTRATION FEE: A registration fee is payable at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable except in the event that ICLS cancels the class.*

TUITION: Tuition is payable prior to the commencement of class unless arrangements have been made to bill your sponsor or you are enrolled under an existing contract.*

REFUND POLICY: A student who has not begun training may withdraw from class during the 72-hour period commencing from the date of signing this Agreement and receive a refund of all tuition paid. The 72-hour period does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays unless there are scheduled classes on those days. The registration fee is not refundable. If a student enters training and withdraws prior to completion of 60% of the scheduled program, ICLS will refund a pro-rata amount minus a $100.00 withdrawal fee. Any portion of a week's attendance is counted as a full week. No refund is made after completion of 60% of the course. In no case will the school honor a refund request after the course has ended. The student must complete a Student Withdrawal Form available from the school’s Registrar to initiate a request for a refund. Refunds will be issued within ten (10) business days. Please note that each instructional hour is 50 minutes in length.*

CANCELLATION OF CLASS: A student enrolled in a private class may cancel or delay the scheduled start of a class without financial penalty if at least 24 hours’ notice is given in the timeframe Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Cancellation must be made by email to english@icls.edu with the subject line “Cancellation.” If less notice is given, the student will pay in full for the canceled hours. When less than 24 hours’ notice is given and there is more than one hour of class scheduled on the day of the cancellation, all of the hours will be considered as canceled and the student will pay for all canceled hours. A courtesy cancellation made directly with the teacher by any method is not considered an official cancellation. If the student is late, the teacher will wait 30 minutes before considering the class cancelled. *

Group and Semi-Private Classes continue as scheduled even if a student is absent from the class. An individual student who does not attend a class will not be able to make up the missed hours even if 24 hours’ notice is given. ICLS reserves the right to cancel any group class which does not meet the minimal enrollment requirement for the class. In this case, the application fee, tuition, and materials costs will be refunded in full.*

BILLING: ICLS reserves the right to charge for any class hours taken in excess of the purchased amount of hours. When the student has exhausted the initial hours purchase, the student must purchase additional class hours in order for instruction to continue. ICLS reserves the right to suspend classes until payment is remitted. Should you decide to suspend your class, you have up to 3 months to re-enroll and complete your remaining hours, otherwise they will be forfeited.*

F-1 VISA STUDENTS: A non-immigrant alien student who has been accepted by ICLS but does not receive an F-1 student visa or who withdraws prior to arrival in the United States will receive a refund of all prepaid tuition. Refunds will be issued within thirty (30) days following the date of written notification and return of the INS Form I-20. The registration fee is not refundable. Refunds will be issued in the same manner and to the same payee from which the payment was received. All fees incurred from a money transfer or transaction related to the refund will be deducted from the refunded amount.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR IN-PERSON STUDENTS: ICLS is committed to providing a safe environment for our students and teachers. Students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before starting in-person classes at ICLS. ICLS accepts COVID-19 vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization. As of June 1, 2021, The World Health Organization has approved for emergency use Pfizer/BioNTech, Astrazeneca, Janssen/Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm, and Sinovac. Students must complete a full course of the vaccine (2 shots for Pfizer, 1 shot for Janssen/Johnson and Johnson, etc.) and must receive the final dose no fewer than 14 days before starting classes. We will ask students to show proof of vaccination. Additional requirements, including wearing a mask and social distancing, may be required. If a student develops symptoms of COVID-19, that student will not be allowed to attend in-person classes. Due to the changing nature of the pandemic, we reserve the right to change our requirements at any time. For information on where to find a COVID-19 vaccination, visit www.vaccines.gov.
