  • Teacher Recommendations

  • As part of your application to the IB Program, you are required to elicit teacher recommendations from 2 of the 4 core curriculum areas.  These are your teachers in:

    • Language Arts
    • Math
    • Science
    • Social Studies

For these recommendations, you should chose the teachers who you believe can best speak to your qualifications for success in the IB Diploma Program. You should request recommendations only from your current or most recent teacher in each subject area.

To submit a recommendation request, fill out the information below.  An email containing the recommendation form will be automatically sent to your teacher.

Note: It is extremely important that you enter a correct email address for your teacher.  If you enter the wrong email address, your teacher will not receive your recommendation request.

  • Recommendation #1

  • Recommendation #2

  • In addition to these two required recommendations, you may include an additional recommendation.

This optional recommendation may come from another teacher who you believe can speak well to your abilities, or it may come from a member of the community who knows your strengths outside of the classroom setting.

Whoever you chose, it should be someone who knows you as a learner, worker, leader, or creator. It should not be completed by a friend or family member.

  • Optional Recommendation #3

  • Statement of Intent

  • I have read the International Baccalaureate Program literature and understand the committment that it requires. I understand that meeting the eligibility requirement does not insure admission to the program and that the decision of the selection committee will be final.

I understand that the IB Diploma Program is a two-year course of study, and that by applying for the program, I agree to commit to the full two years.

NOTE: A mandatory parent orientation meeting will be held in the spring of the Diploma candidate’s Sophomore year. Future parent meetings will be arranged on an as-needed basis in the the Fall of the candidate’s Junior and Senior year.
