To renew, replace or get new e-Passport, you must apply in person.

To renew an existing Nigerian passport, you must appear in person for biometric and image acquisition at a Nigerian Embassy or Consulate. Nigerian Passports are actually not renewed but re-issued. Nigerian Passports are only valid for 5 or 10 years. A new passport booklet will be issued to you. You can not mail in your application.
