For the 2027 YSS Section Election Year we are looking for candidates for the following positions:

YSS Executive Board:

1st VP/Incoming President: The 1st Vice President serves for 1 year as VP, then cycles through to President and Past President. The President leads the organization, plans and runs the executive board meetings, and works closely with committee chairs and liaisons to conduct YSS business. We highly recommend that candidates have previously served YSS in some capacity, whether as a board member or committee member.

Secretary: The secretary works to organize information for the section by collecting reports, organizing meeting agendas, and taking and publishing minutes. The secretary also works with other board members to prepare any other information and documents needed. Familiarity with Google Drive is a must!

YSS Section Committees:

Spring 2029 Conference Director: Spring Conference Directors assemble a committee to plan and present the YSS Spring Conference. This includes everything from selecting a venue and theme to seeking presenters and speakers. The Spring Conference Director should love planning big programs with lots of moving pieces!
