REVIEW
Each event request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be appropriate and in line with Ben’s Soft Pretzel’s mission. The approval of Special Event Requests will be based on the following criteria. No Franchisee should commit to or inquire about Special Events until meeting these qualifications:
a. Store must have been in business for a minimum of 12 months.
b. Franchisee must have completed off-site/mobile Event Training at their expense.
c. Event should be one that will help promote Ben’s Soft Pretzels brand.
● Local marketing opportunities should always be our desire.
● It is easy to be overcome by the pursuit of revenue, but the mobile events are intended to be a revenue enhancement to our local stores. We need to continue to be focused on our local marketing area.
d. Where is the event located? Are there other Ben’s Soft Pretzel stores in that area?
● If there are multiple stores in that area, we will consider the length of time the stores have been open, the desire of a store to attend the event, and the individual Franchisee’s qualifications.
e. Franchisee must be in good standing.
● Good standing means being compliant with all system standards and requirements.
f. Bakery Location must have a compliance rating of at least 80%.
g. Sales target numbers for the store must have been reached.
APPROVAL
The following items should be submitted for approval:
● This signed Special Event Request Forms
● Event Contract
● Percentage of sales that go to Event vs. Franchisee Please note: Royalties are paid on total GROSS sales to the franchisor.
These documents should be sent to Audra Smith for approval.
Please note: Just sending in the Special Event Request Forms and documents does NOT guarantee approval.
All requests MUST be submitted a minimum of 1 month prior to the special event and no more than 6 months prior.
You will receive the status of the request within 1 week of Audra Smith receiving the form. The earlier the form is sent in, the better. The Special Event Request is only approved after receiving the original Special Event Request form or receiving oral/written consent from Audra Smith or another BSP corporate representative.
