Canary in a Coal Mine is looking for a range of self-filmed videos from the September 27th (and beyond) #MillionsMissing protests.
How to submit your video
If you are interested in sharing your video for possible use in the film, fill out the form below.
– You can submit professionally recorded video, a video shot on your smartphone, or a Facebook Live or Periscope webcast.
– You can submit link to your video on YouTube or Facebook (make sure your link is public) or, even better, upload it directly.
– You can submit multiple videos but should submit one form for each video.
– If you have a large number of videos or recorded professional video please fill out the form below and email delaney@canaryinacoalminefilm.com for information about how to send a hard drive of that video to our production office in Los Angeles (you should still fill out this form). We can reimburse you for any pre-approved costs incurred for shipping or your USB/dongle or hard drive. You can also send files via WeTransfer to Delaney.
– You must be the owner/copyright holder of the footage and upload a signed material release form, which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz69XTlsVajYdUVTaXhYcjJYd3c
In most countries, you do not need to secure permission from people who appear in photos and videos that were shot in a public place, i.e., at a protest. But check your local laws.
If you are not or have any questions about this or have footage that you think we should see even if it's not yours, email delaney@canaryinacoalminefilm.com
We are on a very tight deadline – our goal is to get all uploaded footage by Friday, September 30th and all mailed footage by Friday, October 7th. *Unless* you are protesting on a later date. In that case, please deliver your footage as soon as possible and we will do our best to include it.
